From A Vision To A Family Legacy
About Us
In 1988 Jack Badeau Sr. had vision.
While Jack was working for Andrew Corp. running the machine shop and working with engineering department he created a new position for him self that became the backbone of Jb Machine's strength. Jack became the bridge between engineer's designing parts and manufacturing. Jack helped engineer's design parts for quicker and easier manufacturing. This concept of bridging the gap between design and production is still in process today at JB Machine and one it's core strengths.
In 1987 Andrew Corp. approached Jack with an ultimatum, either move to Chicago with the company or find a new job. That's when Jacks entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and decided to open his own shop. And the idea of JB Machine was born, with no little to know budget and the promise of business Jack was on his way.
Jack was able work a deal for 1 manual mill, 1 manual lathe and a horizontal band saw. Then Jack rented a 1200 sq foot shop month to month and was lucky enough to get work from Andrew Corp. now out of Chicago
1989 Jack bought his first CNC Mill from a new manufacture in the CNC space, Jack purchased the 11th machine manufactured by Haas. The Haas equipment continues to this day at JB Machine. It was at this time that Jack's son Jeff would come over after his work day and help program the Mill for Jacks next day productions run.
The following year Jeff left the company he worked for to join his Dad, a partnership that continues to this day. Together they expanded with technology which included CNC Lathes, CMM Inspection equipment along with ERP Shop Control and Management systems.
From those humble beginnings JB Machine has continued to grow and expand into its current facility. Although Jack formally retired in the late 90's when Jeff assumed responsibility for day to day operations.
Since Jeff assumed responsibility he has continued with the fundamentals instilled by Jack. JB-Machine continues to work with engineering firms to help in the design process for more cost effective manufacturing. Additionally Jeff has brought in his brother James, nephew Joshua and son Jordan with Jake not too far behind.
